Simple pleasures and Delights

Today was a glorious day, and there was such simple pleasure in sharing a few hours with my daughter and her friend as they raced with the dog thro’ a buttercup field, rolling in the stunning blooms, and threading a few for the dog’s collar (much to his bemusement!). We walked to the woodland and winding beck where they set about building a dam. Such teamwork and physical as well as mental energy went into this task, but it was punctuated with shrieks of laughter as they slid and slipped into the water.

It reminded me of a poem I had written a while ago, and I thought it would be a timely reminder, in these times where money is king and possessions are supposed to equal success, to look around at the delights we often miss…..Please enjoy DELIGHTS, and don’t be shy about commenting . Thanks
